For those who read music, free downloadable scores and parts of these sonatas can be found here Performers, Thomas Georgi violas d'amore; Mime Yamahiro, viola da gamba (1) and violoncello (2); Lucas Harris, theorbo (3) and baroque guitar (4); and Joelle Morton, viola da gamba (5). Thomas Georgi plays the odd numbered tracks on plain wire strings, the even numbered ones on conventional baroque strings. The 1783 Thomas Eberle viola d'amore, which was strung with wire for this recording, is in entirely original condition, while the 1772 Thomas Eberle, used on the even number tracks, has been modernized in the usual way for 18th century stringed instruments.
